Don't Be Green with Envy!

Get Your Own Renewable Power Supply

Steve Woods - Choosing To Go Green

Hi my name is Steve Woods and I am a friend of Mike's and fellow renewable energy fan. After all getting free electricity from the wind and harnessing solar power is a great way to help our planet as our wallets!

I met Mike on the internet whilst I was researching the options for building my own wind turbine. Mike had already built his green power station using the plans and guides from Earth4Energy and I was very impressed with his achievement in building a home power station.

That admiration has grown since I have known Mike and learnt how basic his handyman skills are! - sorry Mike, but I saw the state of your finger!!

Research in to Wind and Solar Power Stations

Joking apart, Mike proved to me that it was feasible to build a home renewable power station and so I went out and looked at all of the alternative solar and wind turbine products that I could find, to see if there was an approach that would suit me. As a result of that reseach into both wind power and solar power, I accumulated a lot of home power station details.

It was whilst debating the merits of these various approaches to harnessing the wind and solar energy with Mike, that he suggested I created a comparison page to let others make an informed decision as well. So here it is, I hope that you find it useful.

HomeMadeEnergy

HomemadeEnergy is a very similar product to that of Energy4Earth. What I particuarly liked was that the wind mill that I built was just any old wind mill, it was a truly profssional wind mill. I even have taken an order from a friend to build one for them. This could even become a nice sideline!

Your own solar or wind power system for $200 or even less
Power up basically any appliance you have in your home: fridge, wash machine, computer, TVs, lights
Have tons of fun building it.

The shortage of power, the rapid consumption of non-renewable energy, the ever-increasing demand for power supply, the daily warnings about our environment are enough signs to tell us that it’s time we do something. So, what can we do? For starters, how about living off the grid? If I have startled you with that proposition, let me tell you that living off the grid not only helps the environment and helps save power; it also cuts down our electricity bill substantially. Now, that’s a tangible benefit apart from all the good you will do to the world. Trust me, you will feel good doing this.

 Mike's Choice - Earth4Energy

"I just wanted to drop a line to say thanks. My wife and I have been looking for good information on renewable energy solutions for some time now because of the recent price increase in traditional energy sources. After receiving your Earth4Enregy guide we made our own solar panel grid, and it is giving us more than enough energy to power our household appliances. Our next step is to build a wind powered system for those cloudy days. We have already noticed how much money we can save!"
